Oil light won't go off

OK Biker techs. I need your help.

I rode a good deal last weekend. It was hot and sunny and the last 20 or so miles my oil light would flash on dimly then go out until I reached a couple of miles from home and it was on more than off.

Yes, the oil was low and dirty so I decided to change it and the filter. After I did, I started her up and let her warm and checked for leaks.

All was good except the oil light was on full bright. I checked the level and it was full so I took a ride around the block.

Oil light still on bright. Any idea what is wrong/to fix?

Re: Oil light won't go off

Hey Bustah_c, I would think the sending unit might be bad. I'm having an oil leak problem on the VY800 Honda I got back in May, and that's the first thing the Honda repair manual said to check. Good Luck with that. If you need a factory repair manual, check out: repairmanuals.com. I got the real Factory authorized manual for my bike there.
